Our Tier 2 data centre is based at our head offices in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It’s been specifically designed and configured to help small and medium sized businesses with their hosting requirements. For continuity of service our data centre has dual path for power with UPS capabilities and a secondary generator with 48 hours uptime meaning that uptime will be unlimited from a power point of view.

We also have dual cooling within the data centre, one being controlled air conditioning the second being an air recirculation system.  This enables us to offer 99.741% availability as per the Tier 2 standard requirement. If you are looking to use our data centre for backup purposes then we offer two options – either host your own NAS drive within our data centre, or utilise space within our hosted servers.

Whichever option you go for, any security related to the documentation stored, including the Server Images, are managed at the software level via Veeam and its own Backup Encryption methods.

This means traffic is encrypted between your office and our data centre, delivered over a secure VPN connection linked directly. These images are then also stored in an encrypted state meaning they are secure from any external threats without the decryption process linked back your servers and Veeam licence.

Any devices within our data centre, either our hardware for hosting purposes or your own hardware for rack allocation, are protected by multiple internal firewalls offering Next-Gen Firewall protection with high-performance TLS Inspection, IPS, and ATP to stop the latest hacks and attacks dead in their tracks.

Each device is connected to its own independent Virtual Local Area Network, meaning no connections between any customer devices and data are connected and are fully segregated.  Our internal security solution and processes all adhere to the Cyber Essentials standards, which is a Government backed security accreditation, maintained on a two week basis ensuring all security polices are updated.

With regard to physical security to our building and data centre, the building is monitored via multiple CCTV cameras which monitor all aspects of the perimeter. The building itself is protected by controlled door access cards which are restricted to specific areas of the building depending on staff requirements, and internal doors are then protected with biometric door controllers. All of these areas are monitored by internal CCTV Cameras and a 24/7 alarm contract.

The data centre itself again is monitored by two CCTV cameras, one placed outside the door and one internally located. This door is again restricted by biometric access and this is restricted to only 3 people having access, Our Operations Director, Internal IT Manager and our Senior Installation Manager. No other member of staff is allowed into this area of the building.
